Cafe Rules

Welcome to The Velvet Cafe. These rules apply everywhere: on the website, in our Roblox game and in the Discord server. Breaking them can get you banned from all three at once.

Zero tolerance: instant permanent ban

• Under 18. This is an adults-only community. Lying about your age is a ban.
• Ageplay. Any sexual or romantic roleplay, content or talk involving minors or child-like characters, including "little" or DDLG roleplay and child-like avatars used in a sexual way.
• Raceplay. Fetishising race or ethnicity, or using racial slurs or stereotypes in roleplay, "jokes" or profiles.
• Sexual content involving minors of any kind, real or drawn. This is also reported to the authorities.
• Doxxing: posting someone's real name, address, photos, school, workplace or other private details.

Being in a known ageplay or raceplay Roblox group, or closely linked to accounts that are, can also get you denied or removed.

1. Respect everyone

• No racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism or any other hate, including slurs, "ironic" jokes, symbols and dog whistles.
• No harassment, bullying, threats or stalking. Leave people alone when they ask.
• Consent matters. No unwanted sexual messages, and no pressuring anyone into matches, DMs or roleplay. A no or a declined invite is final.
• Don't start drama in public spaces. Take disagreements to DMs or to staff.

2. Keep profiles appropriate

• No hateful, extremist or controversial profiles: no hate symbols, extremist or political propaganda, and nothing made to provoke or offend.
• No gore, shock content, self-harm content, or jokes about real tragedies.
• No nudity or explicit sexual images on profiles, guestbooks or the lounge.
• No promoting drugs, weapons or anything illegal.
• Your username, picture, bio, music and custom style all count. Staff can reset or hide anything that breaks these rules.

3. Custom profile code

• Don't hide or fake site controls, such as the Report button, usernames, tags or the guestbook.
• No fake buttons, fake messages or anything that tricks people into clicking.
• No fast flashing or strobing effects. They can trigger seizures.
• Only use images from the allowed sources or ones you upload yourself.
• No links or web addresses anywhere on your profile, including your bio, interests, mood and custom style. A link could send someone somewhere harmful, so the site blocks them.

4. Be yourself, once

• One account per person. No alt accounts, and no making new accounts to get around a ban.
• Only verify your own Roblox account. Never share, sell or lend accounts or verification keys.
• Don't impersonate staff, members or anyone else.

5. Play fair

• No exploiting bugs in the queue, coins, badges or the game. Report bugs to staff instead.
• No bots, scripts or cheats, and no selling or trading coins, badges or accounts.
• Show up for matches you accept. Don't leave on purpose or ruin matches for others.
• Follow Roblox's own rules while playing.

6. No spam or scams

• No spam, flooding, chain messages or mass invites.
• No advertising, selling or self-promotion without staff approval.
• No scam, phishing or suspicious links, and never ask anyone for passwords, codes or payments.

7. Privacy

• Don't share other people's photos, DMs or screenshots without their permission.
• Keep your own private details off your profile. Staff will never ask for your password.

8. Reports and staff

• See something that breaks the rules? Use the Report button on the member's profile.
• False or spam reports are against the rules.
• Staff can act on behaviour that isn't listed here if it harms the community.
• Respect staff decisions. To appeal, contact staff in the Discord server, not in public chats.

What happens if you break the rules

Usually a warning first, then a temporary restriction, then a permanent ban, depending on how serious it is. Zero-tolerance rules skip straight to a permanent ban. A ban applies to the website, the game and the Discord server.

By using The Velvet Cafe you also agree to the Terms of Service. These rules can change; check back now and then.
